Mañana... Voy a Pilar!!

My last night at the arrival camp...

All of the students arrived yesterday evening by 7:00 PM. Since I arrived I have been spending a lot of time with the other students, getting to know each other, comparing cultures and communicating through different languages and gestures. They all come from several different countries such as Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Turkey, Norway, and Iceland. It is a mixture of very wonderful people.

As a group, we have been learning little games, singing songs, dancing, playing cards, sharing musical interests and of course... laughing and talking together. Over the past day, we have been taught a little bit about Paraguayan culture. Tonight we got a lesson on Guarani and we also drank both Terere and Yerba Mate. << All of which are very important to Paraguayan Culture! It is so fascinating to me and I am so thankful to finally be apart of it!!

I love the trees here! ^

I am not sure of the name of the dishes or ingredients of all the cuisine that I have had in the past two days.. However, it has all been very delicious and I have been very well fed!!

Very glad to be here.
Tomorrow afternoon I will take a bus to Pilar to meet my host family.
I am so anxious to finally be there with them.
